Welcome to the Murdoch College Website

Murdoch College is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational secondary college for students in Years 7 to 12. It has a commitment to providing all students with the opportunity to reach their full academic potential through a balanced education that addresses the academic, social, emotional, and physical aspects of their lives.

We are a friendly, happy College where students and staff interact in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.   Our professional teaching staff is enthusiastic, cheerful and hardworking and they have similar expectations of their students; who are challenged, but supported, in their learning.

By getting to know our students as individuals through our Pastoral Care systems, we build their self-esteem and focus on making them feel happy and safe at the College. We encourage students to maximise their involvement to achieve their potential in the academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes that we offer.  We have high academic and behavioural standards and encourage students always to do their best within this stimulating environment, using information technology and collaborative learning to complement traditional teaching methods.

A special aspect of Murdoch College is it’s unique learning environment provided by being located on a university campus with access to a wide range of facilities and resources.  All students participate in university-influenced experiences which prepare them for transition to university studies; or directly into the workforce.  Responsibility, trust and leadership are characteristics that develop naturally within our guiding values of Honesty, Respect and Integrity.

We look forward to welcoming new students and their families into Murdoch College in the near future.
