Orientation Program

ORIENTATION FOR MURDOCH COLLEGE AND PREPARATION FOR SECONDARY STUDIES (PSS) STUDENTS

An Orientation Day is held for all new students. Important information about the College, subject selection and timetables will be discussed at Orientation so it is important that students attend.

Orientation Dates and Time
Orientation is held on the Friday preceeding the start of the term.

Orientation begins at 9:00am in the Youth Development Centre (YDC) and concludes at 1:00pm. Parents or guardians are encouraged to attend the first part of Orientation (until 10:30am). Students are requested to wear their school uniform and to bring a snack and drink for recess. 

Documentation needed
International students need to bring in their passport and visa, to enable timetables to be generated.

Murdoch Integrated Learning Experiences (MILE)
The Murdoch Integrated Learning Experiences program will be explained at Orientation and selection can be made on this day.

Uniform
The Uniform Shop is open in the three days preceeding the start of every term. Appointments must be made, and can be booked through Reception on 9312 0800.

Booklists and Book Purchases
If subject selection has been made, books and stationery can be purchased through Education World at their bookstore or online. Education World is open from Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

MC Online
Information about MC Online, including username and password, will be distributed at Orientation.

ID card photo and Transperth Smart Rider Card
Photos are taken at Orientation for student’s ID and Smart Rider Card. Cards are issued to students two weeks later via TAG.

Location and Parking
Murdoch College is located on the Murdoch University Campus. Please park in Car park 1 and follow the signs to the Youth Development Centre (YDC).
