Murdoch College offers extra-curricular programs to its students, across a wide range of activities. The opportunities are highlighted below.
The Murdoch Integrated Learning Experience (MILE) program is a unique and distinctive feature of the College. Murdoch College believes that the MILE program is an essential part of students' educational program.
MILE seeks to develop the whole person and activities provide important opportunities for our students to grow academically, socially, emotionally and physically. MILE creates learning opportunities that foster:

The program is divided into five categories: Academic Enhancement; Business and Technology; Sports, Leisure and Personal Development; and Visual and Performing Arts.
Programs include forensic science; robotics; pre-biotechnology science; theatre sports; digital photography; sports; leadership; Born Story Tellers; painting and drawing; Tournament of the Minds; fitness; sailing and yoga.

Interschool sport competitions are held against other schools in the metropolitan area. Interschool sport is conducted after school, at various levels and grades to suit all students. Students can select from sports including soccer, basketball, netball, touch and the AusTouch program.
The College offers an extensive Extra-Curricular Music Program for music students of varying levels of music through Instrumental and Vocal programs. While the focus is strongly on contemporary music, classical music tuition is also available.
Instrumental tuition is available as an extra-curricular subject provided by approved tutors at a cost of a private music lesson.
Performance Groups include the Whole School Groove Choir, Rock Skool and Ensemble groups.

The Murdoch College Drama Company (MCDC) is a thriving and vital part of the extra-curricular program at the College. Running alongside the curricular Drama program, the company presents several minor and one large production each year at the Nexus Theatre, Murdoch University. It has developed an outstanding reputation since its inception in 2001 and students heavily involved in it have successfully auditioned for acting programs at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and the Victorian College of the Arts. Likewise the company has made a lasting effect on the confidence and interpersonal communication skills of our students.
Please note that selection for productions is always through an audition process and opportunities exist for students of all year levels.
